Kate Ringsell Casting is looking for UK based actors and non-actors for several roles in an upcoming 30-minute comedy pilot for MARV.

'Day 1s' is a laugh out loud comedy about four friends and their insane journey from being best mates since they were 11, to navigating the cutthroat and crazy world of the Premier League together. 

We will be exploring actors, comedians, social media performers, ex-footballers - anyone with funny bones and personality who feels authentic to the world.

All roles are for performers with playing age between 18-25 years old and must have good availability throughout the months of JUNE & JULY 2026.  

DAY 1s LEAD ROLES:

Duncan Davies – London accent. Late teens/early 20’s. Lower middle-class kid from a nice family with a dream of being a football agent. He’s clever, sharp, irreverent and ambitious. He’s known Dezmond since they were 11and is fiercely loyal to him. Not only his agent, but also his best friend. 

Dezmond King - London accent. Late teens/early 20’s. The next big thing in football. Self-assured, bright, funny and determined. He’s one of the lads, quick with the banter, but focused and sensitive underneath the laddish exterior. He loves the game and he loves his friends. Football experience is a plus but not a requirement – should be physically fit.

Lou Galloway – Any UK accent. Late teens/early 20’s. A loose cannon and a wild card. Totally inappropriate with no boundaries. He’ll do anything for a joke or for a fast buck and always has a scheme or plan on the go. He’s either incredibly charming and cheeky or inordinately annoying. He’s grown up with Dezmond and whilst he’s his wingman, he’s also his biggest liability.

Livvy King - London accent. Late teens/early 20’s. Dezmond’s sister. She is bold, opinionated, sassy and smart. She takes no shit from anyone, including Dezmond and his friends and has plans to take over the world with either her incredible voice or her social media savvy. Just like her brother, she is on the rise, the world just doesn’t know it yet.
